Manchester City Millions and Ambitions, but the Results Still Missing

Manchester City Millions and Ambitions - BSN SportsAfter spending 118 million euros in Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz and three other players, Manchester City hopes to reflect that spending a successful season, but the revolution held at City Stadium still arouses a great deal of skepticism.

It is often said that money does not make happiness, something that in football terms could be translated by 'the money does not succeed', although no doubt contribute a little.

When you need a week to start this season is so important to the club, its directors, players and supporters esepran that Manchester City is not the exception that proves the rule.

Today, its economic power is undeniable: the only Real Madrid and Chelsea to a lesser extent, can vie for the title of best club in the world.

The difference is that the money that Florentino Perez has come from bank loans and the City is simply the current account of its owner, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who owns a large fortune.

Real Madrid managed to take the Brazilian Kaká, something that failed the City in January for a little while, but with the arrival of Argentine Carlos Tevez, the Paraguayan Roque Santa Cruz, the English Gareth Barry, the Ivorian Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Togo Adebayor, who joined Craig Bellamy, Shay Given and Steven Ireland, the English club has won many integers.

It may not quite reach the same level as the big four's' Big Four '(Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal) but are not far behind as fifth largest nationally. ¿Both as to overcome the 'Blues', the' Reds' and the 'Gunners'?

Only your action in the ground clear. Manchester City have won just two of their pre-season games and their game has been pretty mediocre. The coach Mark Hughes has not been able to work with Tevez or Santa Cruz, injured, and Barry could not stretch.

His team seems to continue construction without clear guidelines or a structured play. The balance of the group by surprise, with 28 players, including six attackers, who will vie for two seats theoretically.

And the requirements that the City now has with its new status as emerging great club, do not accommodate to the testing or hesitation. Hughes will have to reap very soon, or could see the path to the door just as early.

And it is that much will depend on Hughes manage to achieve all those egos. The Welsh suffered last season, especially for his clashes with Robinho, who did not meet the demands of his coach and now the competition will undoubtedly increase headaches to determine their alignment.

For a club who do not earn anything from the League Cup 1976, who won the last of his two titles in 1968 and garters for the last four Cups in 1969 England, the hopes and expectations will be huge.

Manchester City is still not a big club, but a stroke of book signings and on track to achieve this.
