Bayern Munich beat Arsenal 3-1The Emirates Stadium was witness to one of the best matches that the Champions League offer today, Arsenal against Bayern Munich. In another time, not far away, this game could easily have been a final of the Champions League, but one of the two teams has long ceased to fight for the big titles. Eight years without lifting a trophy bearing the Gunners, who after being eliminated in the two FA Cups and climb down the high places of the Premier, the Premier was presented as the last bullet for Arsene Wenger that is increasingly questioned London.

Bayern was favorite, the runners-up came to the Emirates with a winning streak behind them and with the goal of making Londoners forget the beautiful hymn of Champions. And soon the Germans were grown disappointment in the stands. It took just seven minutes to put the Toni Kroos 0-1 with a truly great goal. A cross from the right that the German midfielder impaled perfectly from the front to beat Szczesny and achieve important both for visitors.

And just 15 minutes later, Jupp Heynckes left virtually closed the tie.

After a corner kick that topped Van Buyten, Müller hunted evil for Szczesny refuses to push the ball and make it 0-2 at the Emirates. The reaction Arsenal needed a champion to keep the tie in the first leg, but the Gunners have long since ceased to be a championship team.

This led at half-time, with Bayern winning comfortably and barely breaking a sweat. The Arsenal not disturbed nor Neuer only once and the feeling was that the Germans had completely controlled the match and when they wanted blood could do at the Emirates. Javi Martinez and Toni Kroos greatly emphasized in the first half, passing over midfielders Gunners. Wenger was watching his team was being razed in the French referendum staff.

But the second half started differently. In the 54th minute a ray of hope appeared at the steps of the Emirates. Podolski took a horrific Neuer output after a corner kick to head the ball into the back of the net and put the 1-2 on the scoreboard that did grow the faith of the Gunners. The second 45 minutes were different from the first. Bayern arrollaba no longer as before, and even the locals had several chances to get the equalizer.

But Bayern is a roll, and if you make you angry overrides. In the 77th minute, Mandzukic handled uproot all hopes Gunners a possible comeback. After a good play Bavarian Lahm put the ball into the box and shoved Croatian striker hopefully caress the ball to the net of the goal and make it 1-3 and that was the last straw for Londoners.

With this result at the Emirates, Arsenal need a 0-3 at the Allianz Arena to advance to the quarterfinals, something unthinkable today. It seems that the nights of Champions was ended this season at the Emirates, and who knows if there will been the European Wenger last night after a disastrous campaign in which they have ceased to fight for all the titles in February. Bayern, meanwhile, strengthens its bid to be at Wembley in the Champions League final next after the exhibition offered in London.
