Mexico beat the U.S. Team 4-2 and Won Gold Cup

Mexico Gold Cup ResultMexico won its sixth Gold Cup after winning 4-2 at the U.S. team this Saturday June 25th.

Pablo Barrera (twice), Andres Guardado and Giovani Dos Santos scored the goals in the victory in the final held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

United States had the 2-0 lead in the first half. He opened the scoring with a goal at minute 8 of Michael Bradley and 23 Landon Donovan got the second goal, but failed to keep the track with the victory and ended the game losin 4-2.

Barrera scored at 29 'and 49', keeping the 36 'and Dos Santos to 75 minutes.

Gold Cup 2009, also won Mexico to the United States.

With this victory, Mexico was assured a berth in the Confederations Cup that Brazil will host in 2013.

The former AC Milan coach was fired just hours after the last league match of the 'Blues' in the 2010-2011 season, losing to Everton 1-0. Londoners finished nine points behind champions Manchester United.

Ancelotti, 51, had arrived at the team bench in 2009, coming from Milan, and lived a great first year at the helm, though this season has seen very difficult moments.

The team got better in the Premier League at the end, after a serious crisis in mid-season, and came to embarrass Manchester United in the race for the title, but a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford in early May was decisive for the fate of the championship.
