The Californianplayer, who had a bad first day, sank in the second chapter of the tournament betting to be held in Charlotte and stayed out of the best for the sixth time in his career, having been the last in the British Open last year. Woods signed a card of 79 strokes, seven over par in the U.S. camp, thanks to their double''''consecutive bogeys on holes 14 and 15 and paid dearly for their continuous mistakes. The American finished with 153 impacts, nine above the mark which established the court. Failing to complete the second day of competition, the local Billy Mayfair leads the tournament with 136 strokes, one ahead of Argentina's Angel Cabrera, winner of the Masters at Augusta in 2009, first Latin American to do so.
