Nadal wins 8th French titleAfter two weeks of competition and an all-Spanish final Rafael Nadal has managed to win the French Open in Paris 2013 again. With this success he became the first man to win eight titles at the same Grand Slam tournament and is now considered to be the greatest clay court player of all time. After a 7-month injury lay-off he has come back in good shape.

Against the expectations of Novak Djokovic who desperately wanted to complete his collection of major titles this year. Djokovic had to give up his dream after having lost a hard five-set match against his rival Nadal in the semi-finals. The other Spanish player David Ferrer who made it to the finals has not lost a single set before but was finally beaten by Nadal in three straight sets (6:3, 6:2, 6:3).

Another remarkable story of the 2013 French Open was the unexpected early exit of Roger Federer who was kicked out by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals. Even with the Sky Poker Bonus Code no one would have assumed this outcome.

In the woman’s final showdown US player Serena Williams had to face last year’s winner and the defender of the title Maria Sharapova. Williams played like a true champ given the fact that she has only lost one set in the whole tournament and has beaten Sharapova in only two sets (6:4, 6:4).

All in all the 112th edition of the French Open was great 15 day event with thousands of visitors and world class tennis players fighting for total prize money of 22 Million Euros.
