Soderling, who dealt their first loss to Spanish clay when they played in the French Open this year, won the match in Group B with a combination of strong forehand and backhand that Nadal did not break. Nadal, the second best player in the rankings, still has the possibility of reaching the semi-finals in the top eight players in the world.
