Montreal Masters Tennis BettingRoger Federer defeated 7-5 to Vasek Prospisil and 6-3 partial and advanced to the third round of the Montreal Masters betting.

He won the tournament in 2004 and 2006 and was runner-up in 2007 and 2010.

It was a clash of dream for Pospisil, 21, who idolizes Federer since childhood. After the match, Federer said he is not the first time it receives the admiration of an opponent.

"For me it was important to have a role model, as Sampras and Edberg," he said.

"So, have also been able to play against Pete at Wimbledon was very important in my career, gave me a huge boost to be able to play in a big stadium against a great player and I hope to do the same for him," he said.

The activities were delayed in Montreal for a heavy rain.

The storm delayed the afternoon fighting, including the party of two-time Rogers Cup winner Rafael Nadal of Spain against Croatian Ivan Dodig. Once the sky cleared, ripped a few meetings, including Nadal.

Moments earlier, the top seed Novak Djokovic survived a scare and beat Russian Nikolay Davydenko 7-5, 6-1. The Rogers Cup champion in 2007 improved his impressive 49-1 mark in 2011 to 25-0 overall and hard surface. The only defeat of the Serbian was to Federer in the semifinals of the French Open.

In other results of the second round, Nicolas Almagro defeated Spanish Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky 6-2, 7-6, while Frenchman Richard Gasquet beat with Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci 6-1, 6-4 partial.

In a showdown of the first round, the Spanish Fernando Verdasco (15) won the German Tobias Kamke 5-7, 6-3, 6-3.
