Federer beats Djokovic and Won the Cincinnati Masters 1000 Tournament

Federer beats Djokovic - BSN SportsRoger Federer, world number one this Sunday to beat Novak Djokovic, seeded fourth, by scores of 6-1 and 7-5, and won the tennis tournament at Cincinnati Masters 1000, with prizes for three million dollars and points to the ranks of the ATP.

With the victory, Federer has now scored 61 titles on the ATP Tour, the fourth this year and third in Cincinnati.

The "Swiss Express" in 2009 won the Madrid tournament, Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Federer won very easily the first set of his clash with Djokovic, but in the second act complicate the Serbian got to the point that came to be 3-0.

However, the global ranking leader returned to his good play in the fourth game of that set, leaving the Serbian tennis player scoreless.

In the fifth Federer - Djokovic broke serve and went 3-2, thanks in particular to a good first serve which reached an effectiveness of 90 percent.

Federer had left on the road in the semifinals to the then defending champion Andy Murray (N.3), while Djokovic realized the Spanish Rafael Nadal (N.2).

"The closest was the title for the whole afternoon is now," the Serb said jokingly in the awards ceremony that followed the game.

More seriously, he admitted that "Roger was very strong."

Separately Federer welcomed the victory and pointed out that if not for the arrival in the world ahead of her daughters-twins Myla and Charlene had not been able to compete in Montreal and Cincinnati.
