Speculation that the global star will be back for the Masters Tournament in April.
At the Honda Classic, which starts in Florida, renowned golf personalities, including Jack Nicklaus, say they will not cause any surprise if Woods's participation in any previous contest before the first major of the season as a way to operate at full capacity in Augusta.
"I suspect he will play a tournament before Augusta, Nicklaus told the media, 70, guest of honor at the tennnis betting Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
"I would be very surprised if he does not compete before Augusta," he added.
Nicklaus was six times winner of the "Green Jacket" Masters, the last at 46 in 1986, who became the oldest golfer to win her.
But the legendary player constantly referring to the elusive Tiger Woods infidelities and marital conflict.

Time stopped today to the press and media for 13 minutes while Tiger Woods offered a public apology for his extramarital affairs.
Dozens of television and Internet media broadcast live the press conference, allowing the whole world watching and listening to Woods for the first time since her public image fell out of favor for nearly three months.
Woods today publicly apologized for his infidelity and expressed shame at the conduct claimed to be "irresponsible and selfish", noting that the circuit again without specifying when.
Millions of viewers watched and listened to the best golfer in the world. And no sooner finished speaking, commentators discussed each of his words.
George Stephanopoulos, the U.S. network ABC, said the speech was "one of the most extraordinary public apology for a public figure."
"He left nothing on the table," Stephanopoulos said. "This is a man who has thought about what he did."

Roger Federer and Serena Williams going to play the Australian Open semi-finals by beating Russian Nikolay Davydenko and Belarussian Victoria Azarenka, while Novak Djokovic fell to Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Federer beat Davydenko, seeded No. 6, in four sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-0, 7-5, while American Azarenka defeated Williams in three sets, 4-6, 7-6 (7 / 4), 6-2.
In the last match of the day, eliminated Tsonga Djokovic in five sets, 7-6 (10 / 8), 6-7 (5 / 7), 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Federer was not easy but eventually made in a game full of surprises and thus gets to spend the 23rd semifinal of Grand Slam tournament of his career.
