Vancouver Canucks vs. Boston Bruins Free PicksOnline Sports Betting Overview

As the 2011 Belmont Stakes betting keeps rolling along, it is becoming increasingly evident that the Vancouver Canucks hold their destiny in their own hands. The NHL news does not have any Mark Messier type characters on the Boston Bruins to report on. No one in the Boston locker room is guaranteeing a playoff win. The price per head ghosts that haunt the loss by the Canucks to the New York Rangers in the 1994 Stanley Cup finals are not there this time. The Bruins do not have that emotional leader that can push them over the top and defeat the Canucks. Vancouver has come to realize that this Stanley Cup is now there for the taking.

The Boston Bruins are far from defeated. The Bruins are a hard-nosed bunch led by unorthodox goaltender Tim Thomas that has been ready for this moment for the last three years. Game four is when a series can turn in a team’s favor or come very close to ending.

Thomas has played some of his best hockey of the season in this Stanley Cup final, and he is not about to let this series end in four games. This game four will be an all-out war and the Vancouver Canucks are not equipped for all-out wars.

Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are riding a wave of confidence that they have not seen in a long time. The team has confidence in goaltender Roberto Luongo, and they have confidence in each other’s ability to get the job done. Goals and points are coming from all over the roster in Vancouver, and that is exactly what the Canucks needed. But the Canucks have to avoid allowing their confidence to turn to arrogance. In Boston’s home arena, the Bruins will have the fans and familiarity with the rink on their side. The roles will be reversed in this series, and the Bruins are just as apt to take advantage of the tide of momentum in the first two Boston home games as the Canucks did in the first two Vancouver home games.

Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins have tried everything against these Vancouver Canucks. The Bruins have tried checking the Canucks, man-handling the Canucks and even drawing the Canucks into a few fights for good measure. Nothing seems to be diverting the Vancouver attention away from winning hockey games. Boston knows that they cannot skate with the Canucks, so the only thing the Bruins have left is to try and get the bounces to go their way and shift the tide of momentum. But that is easier said that done.

The Bottom Line
The Vancouver Canucks and their fans have waited a long time for this opportunity. With the way that the salary cap tears good teams apart in the off-season, there is a chance that this could be the last time this Vancouver team gets a chance to make this run together. The thing that goes in favor of Vancouver is that they have all of the tools they need to get the job done.
