Phoenix Coyotes vs. Los Angeles Kings PicksSports Betting Overview
When the Los Angeles Kings won game one of the Western Conference Finals in Phoenix by a score of 4-2, a lot of people started to think that this series would be over quickly. But the online betting sites are not convinced that the Phoenix Coyotes are going to go down without a fight. When you look at how the playoffs have gone for the Coyotes and the Kings so far, then you start to realize that four goals in one game is a lot. The Kings are not going to be able to keep up that kind of pace as Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith will eventually get comfortable in this series and get back to his All-Star form. But the more this series goes on, the better the Kings will get as well.

Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick is finally getting the attention he deserves as he has been the best kept secret in the NHL for years. But if Quick wants to be a Stanley Cup champion, then he is going to need to maintain his current play for the remainder of the playoffs.

NHL Playoff Preview: Your Underdog Pick for the NHL Stanley Cup Championship

NHL Stanley Cup OddsThe online sportsbooks review love underdogs because the underdogs always pay more when they come through. The ultimate underdog bet for these Stanley Cup playoffs prior to the playoffs starting would have been the Los Angeles Kings. The eighth seed in the Western Conference is now headed for the Western Conference finals and a possible berth in the Stanley Cup finals. The Kings look strong and look like they could be a contender for the Cup championship.

But the sports betting experts no longer have the Kings as an underdog pick in the Stanley Cup finals. Because of the Kings' play in the first two rounds of the playoffs, Los Angeles has become the favorite to win the Western Conference and represent the conference in the Stanley Cup finals. That means that everyone needs a new underdog. At this point in the playoffs, it can be hard to find an underdog team that can win it all. But there is one bet you can make which may pay off when the Stanley Cup is being handed out.

Hockey Betting PlayoffsSports Betting Overview
When the Los Angeles Kings faced off in its quarterfinal series against the Vancouver Canucks, there were many experts who felt that the Kings had an excellent chance at beating the Canucks. The Kings had better goaltending and a stronger defense than Vancouver, but the Kings lacked the scoring punch to be intimidating against a high-scoring team like the Canucks. But still, the online betting sites were not completely surprised when the Kings bounced the Canucks in the first round, especially when Vancouver made a change at goaltender after the first two games of the series. There was no consistency in the Canucks' game, and the Los Angeles Kings took advantage of that.

St. Louis Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak was injured in the team's quarterfinal series and left the goaltending work to alternate starter Brian Elliott. For most teams, this would be a problem. But for the Blues, it was an easy transition. The price per head bookie experts were expecting a St. Louis win over the San Jose Sharks in the quarterfinal round of the Western Conference playoffs, but to do it in five games was making quite a statement. The Sharks were not ready for the playoffs, and it was obvious.

NHL Playoff Preview: Second Round Team Preview – How Far Can Philly Go?

NHL Playoffs PicksThe sports betting online experts are not really coming out and saying what happened to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the playoffs against the Philadelphia Flyers. As bad as the Philadelphia goaltending was in that series, the Pittsburgh goaltending was much worse. This is the second year in a row that Marc-Andre Fleury has disappointed Pittsburgh fans with his playoff performance. Now the Penguins have all summer to consider its next move.

The Philadelphia Flyers were a great story in the first round of the playoffs, but the online betting sites are wondering just how far the Flyers can really go in the playoffs. There are elements of the Philadelphia game that are solid, and then there are things about the Philadelphia game that will not serve the team well in the second round. The Flyers have a grudge against the Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Penguins. If Boston gets eliminated, then the Philadelphia Flyers will have no emotional inspiration left to use.
