Jets vs. Colts Odds and Free PicksNY Jets (11-5) at Indianapolis (10-6)

• Series in Playoffs: 2-1 in favor of the Jets, including Super Bowl III, when New York won 16-7 at then-Baltimore Colts. Last NFL betting season, Indianapolis beat the Jets 30-17 in the championship game of the AFC. The other victory for the Jets was that 41-0 rout over Peyton Manning and the Colts in the Playoffs 2002.

• Record in Playoffs: Indianapolis (19-19), NY Jets (10-12)

• Record Wild Card Round: Indianapolis (4-4), NY Jets (5-5)

With an anemic running game (averaging 92.7 yards per game, 29 in the league), the future of the Colts, obviously depends on the right arm of Manning, who threw 33 touchdown passes, but suffered 17 interceptions, many of them because of miscommunication with his young receivers.

We call it "The Effect Dallas", since these problems started with the injury that sidelined tight end Dallas Clark, one of Peyton's favorite targets. Without Clark in the field, the Jets' defense must focus its attention on Pierre Garcon, who sought Manning 15 times in the AFC Championship, hit him 11 times for 151 yards and a touchdown.

The veteran Reggie Wayne, who set personal record in the 2010 season with 111 receptions, will be watched most of the time by Darrelle Revis, who in the game of the AFC Championship Wayne left in three receptions for 55 yards. In home playoff betting games, Manning averaged 332.7 yards per game with 20 touchdowns, 8 interceptions and rating of 102.0 points.

One concern of the Jets is the right shoulder of Mark Sanchez, who says he is ready for Saturday night: "No, does not affect me much [to launch]. We have been cautious [in rehabilitation] and we treated the same way we treat the last two weeks. Today felt good, "he said earlier in the week.

It is no mystery: whether New York wants a good game of Sanchez, he must first give the backfield support. The Jets' rushing attack is the fourth most productive in the league, thanks to veteran LaDainian Tomlinson (914 yards and 6 touchdowns) and Shonn Greene (766, 2 TD), the New York averaged 148.4 yards per game and that should be the highest concern for the Colts. Then attack the dreaded Mark Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney. In five games against Jets (including playoffs), Freeney has four sacks, while three times, Mathis added 2.5 sacks and forced a fumble. Imperative that Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards and any other recipient of the Jets did not they drop passes, particularly on third down. It has killed many drives and one of these days will kill Sanchez courage.

Manning-hander is 9-9 in playoffs and has won six of its most recent nine postseason appearances, including the defeat in the Super Bowl XLIV against New Orleans. Against Jets, his career record is 8-5, 1-1 in playoffs.

BSN Sports Free Pick: Indianapolis 27-20 New York.
