The New York Giants are favored at home on Sunday as they host the Washington Redskins in an NFC East matchup. The Redskins come into this game at 0-2 while the Giants are 2-0. Only one team since 1998 has made the playoffs after starting 0-3 so you can pretty much call this a must-win game for the Redskins. The Giants are listed as 4.5 point home favorites at online sports books. Let's look at the contest and Week 3 NFL predictions.

Beckham vs. Norman Again
Much of the hype on Sunday surrounding this game will be on the matchup between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman, Round 2. It is a different situation with Norman in Washington instead of Carolina but the rivalry is real. The Giants might prefer to get Beckham matched up against Washington's other cornerback, Bashaud Breeland but New York has three good receivers in Beckham, Victor Cruz and rookie Sterling Shephard.
Beckham won't care who is covering him as he has thrived against top cornerbacks throughout his career. Beckham had over 100 yards receiving last season against Darrelle Revis, Malcolm Butler and Delvin Breaux. Beckham had six catches for 76 yards and a TD against the Panthers and Norman last season.
"Yes, we play the Redskins. Looking forward to it," Beckham said, "2-0 going into the division, playing the Redskins, it's going to be a fun game."
Redskins Trying to Stay Positive
Washington head coach Jay Gruden said he wants his team to stay positive and "understand we still have 14 games left." That is true but history shows that starting 0-3 pretty much ends playoff chances. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has not played well this season and he cost the team a chance to win last week against Dallas.
"He's not going to be perfect every week, that's for sure. And no quarterbacks are. It's just a matter of handling his business, going into work the next day and continuing to get better," Gruden said. "Keep his head up and stay confident, stay poised."
Cousins will need to play well on Sunday against an improved New York defense that ranks in the Top 10 in the league in fewest points allowed this season.
The Redskins are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings in this series. The Redskins are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games in Week 3. The Redskins are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in September. The Giants are 5-2 against the spread at the best online betting sites in their last 7 games in September.
The Over is 7-0 in the Redskins last 7 games overall. The Over is 6-2 in the Giants last 8 home games. The Under is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings in New York.''
