What was looked at as an aberration now appears to be a dilemma as the Chargers have turned the ball over more often than a timid point guard: nine TO’s in three games have resulted in a three-game losing skid. The bad news is three-game losing slides have happened to San Diego three times under Norv Turner’s lead. The good news is the Bolts are 3-0 SU and ATS in games off three losses behind the Norvous one. They are also 12-1 SU and 11-2 ATS under Turner in games after hosting a division opponent, including 5-0 SU and ATS when right back at home against another division foe. Meanwhile, the Raiders enter with turnover problems of their own (six in the last two games – both decisive SU and ATS losses as favorites) while owning a downright rotten 1-5 SU and 0-6 ATS log in games on Thursdays. The bottom line is Diego’s 7th-ranked defense is 75 YPG better than Oakland’s 28th-ranked stop unit – and that should prove to be the difference in this division duel. We’re charged up for a San Diego turnaround. Oddsmakers currently have the Chargers listed as 7-point favorites versus the Raiders, while the game's total is sitting at 49.
