The Packers Won $ 20.1 Million

The director of the Green Bay Packers, the only team that is owned by a cooperative, reported profits of over $ 20 million in the 2008-2009 season, despite the economic crisis affecting the United States and its outstanding performance on the low field.

It was the first year without Favre.

Although the mark of 6-10 and the absence of the playoffs marked a setback to the sporty look and a significant loss in investments, the Packers still were able to achieve net income of $ 4 million for the fiscal year ending on 31 March.

"We were able to keep things well," said Larry Weyers, treasurer of the Packers. "We are still a strong institution and we still have the strength to carry the football operations and maintain the quality of our team."

The team of "Green Bay" managed earnings of $ 247.9 million and expenditures of $ 227.8 million, including $ 138.7 million in salaries for players, an increase of almost 11% over the previous year.
