Texans Beat the Jets 23-17 on Week 5The Houston Texans took advantage of the disorganization and the errors of the New York Jets to remain undefeated and leave with a 23-17 victory in the game Monday night in the ending of the week 5.

Houston came first in its history to hold a perfect record of 5-0 and remains as one of only two undefeated campaign alongside the Atlanta Falcons. The Jets lost for the second week in a row and fell to 2-3 amid discontent of their fans, who claim all the performances of quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Arian Foster was the main weapon for Texans who gave him the ball 29 times for 152 yards to advance with a touchdown. Meanwhile, quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 209 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Sanchez was constantly pressured by Houston's defense and only completed 14 of 31 passes he threw for 230 yards with one touchdown, two interceptions, was sacked three times and caused two fumbles.

The backup quarterback Tim Tebow was used at different times carrying the ball five times for 19 yards and only move threw a pass that was incomplete.

The first quarter was tied 7-7 with touchdown passes of 34 yards Schaub to Owen Daniels and Sanchez for 27 yards to Jeff Cumberland, this Jets offense stemmed from an Antonio Cromartie interception against Schaub.

In the second quarter, Arian Foster arrived in the end zone on a 13-yard rush and the Texans increased their lead to 17-7 after a pass was deflected by JJ Sanchez Watt and was intercepted at the 5-yard line by Brice McCain Houston, who took up the Jets' 9-yard line. Three plays later, Shayne Graham field goal materialized 27 yards on the final play of the first half.

Graham hit another field goal, this one from 42 yards, and the Texans and won 20-7. However, Joe McKnight returned the kickoff 100 yards dramatically to the end zone and the Jets came back to life.

Graham added a field goal of 22 yards, which was replicated by a 21-yard Nick Folk, and in the fourth quarter.

After several exchanges of possession with the defense forcing punts, the Jets took the ball with 3:28 left in their own 16-yard line to try to march toward the end zone and give the flip, however, a pass that got Sanchez Cumberland's hands could not be controlled by it and rebound fell to Kareem Jackson, who intercepted Texas to secure the victory.
