Super Bowl XLV Odds and PicksThe Pittsburgh Steelers can make history when they take on the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV, their third appearance in the last six years. It’s fitting that this game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas as the Steelers move into a tie with the Cowboys for most appearances, while head coach Mike Tomlin looks to become the youngest to win two championships.

Online Sports Betting Odds: Green Bay – 2.5

In order to get there, Pittsburgh will have to slow an upstart Packers’ team that has been amazing since December. Green Bay clinched the final NFC Wild Card spot on the final day of the season, but has not looked back since with wins over three of the four division winners. The Packers concede the edge in experience to Pittsburgh, but have the depth and talent to push this one to the wire.

Why To Bet On The Packers

The biggest factor in Green Bay’s success has been the play of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has been a revelation in the postseason. Rodgers’ 10 touchdown passes through his first three playoff games dating back to last year marked a football betting record, and although he struggled against the Chicago Bears’ defense in the bitter cold in the NFC Championship game, he should feel a little more comfortable inside Cowboys Stadium. Green Bay has one of the best receiving cores in the league, and Rodgers takes advantage of that every chance he gets. For as much as you can say about the offense, the defense isn’t too bad either with three First Team Pro Bowl selections in safety Nick Collins, cornerback Charles Woodson, and linebacker Clay Matthews.

Why To Bet On The Steelers

Pittsburgh’s line will need to find a way to slow Matthews and the rest of the Packers’ 3-4 defense, while bringing the heat with their own. Rodgers has already suffered two concussions this season and took a few shots against the Bears, so if linebacker James Harrison and company can get after him there is a good chance he may not last the four quarters. Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisbeger is simply a winner, and he always seems to show up with his best stuff in the biggest games. Nobody has forgotten his ability to scramble, or his game-winning touchdown in the Super Bowl betting win over the Arizona Cardinals just two years ago.

How The Game Will Play Out

As good as Rodgers and the Packers have been, Pittsburgh is at the same level or higher in regards to both depth and talent, and has the additional experience that will make the difference when it is all said and done. Roethlisberger will be the winner we have come to expect, and tie New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady for second all-time for quarterbacks with a third Super Bowl ring,
