Super Bowl BettingWith the Super Bowl finally in our midst, there is one important question lingering over NFL betting fans. Can San Francisco kicker David Akers be trusted to make important field goals and PATs?

In week one Akers kicked a 63 yard field goal, but since them Akers has missed several important kicks including a loss to St. Louis that went into overtime because of a missed field goal. As of today, Akers has no confidence. He is constantly talked about negatively in the media, and with so much pressure come the Super Bowl it would not be smart to have Akers kick important attempts.

If I were a member of Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff I would do everything in my power to make sure the Akers would not be put in a win or lose situation. He cannot be trusted as of right now. Being a kicker is 95% mental and he is not in the mental state to kick any field goals.

The Super Bowl is the most important sports betting event in North America. Kickers are often put in win or lose situations and they are successful most, but not all of the time. Bookies and sports book reviews put odds on the performance of the kicker because of their importance to the team.
