Counting last season’s playoff loss and this preseason, the Falcons have now dropped six straight contests and need to put a halt to this skid ASAP. And there appears to be no better time than with the celebrated return home of Michael Vick. Yes, the Eagles are the best road team in the NFL under Andy Reid but with the Giants on deck and the pressure on Vick, we have no choice but to opt for the usually capable home-dog Falcons. Currently the Eagles are listed as 1-point favorites against the Falcons, while the game's total is sitting at 49½. Our NFL Coaches League and QB Club agree: Mike Smith is 12-3 SU and 13-2 ATS at home off a SU loss, including a perfect 9-0 ATS versus non-division foes while ‘Matty Ice’ is 20-3 SU and 15-8 ATS at home in general, including 13-2 SU and 11-4 ATS outside of the NFC South. It my not be pretty but that’s just one more reason to back the ‘Dirty Birds.’ Take it or leave it. Betting trends to consider:
