Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets LinesNFL Betting Lines Overview
Football fans in New York want to believe that a good showing against the Washington Redskins in week 13 means that the Jets are on their way towards grabbing an AFC wild card playoff spot. But the Jets beat a team in Washington that has an unpredictable quarterback, a questionable running back and a coach that has been questionable at play-calling all season long. The one thing that the Jets can take away from its win over the Redskins is that the New York offense did play very well against a formidable Washington defense. There is a good mix of veterans and young players on that Washington defense, and the Jets were able to run the ball right at Washington with success.

The Kansas City Chiefs cannot catch a break this season. The Chiefs lose its starting quarterback Matt Cassel and starting running back Jamaal Charles for the season and the team starts to tailspin. Veteran quarterback Kyle Orton is brought in and it looks like the season could be saved.

But all along, the pay per head sportsbook experts have been noticing that the Chiefs’ defense has been steadily improving. In week 13, the Bears tried to run at the Chiefs but Chicago running back Matt Forte was injured early in the first quarter and lost for the game. From there, the Chiefs shut the Chicago offense down and was able to win the game 10-3. Chicago is without its starting quarterback Jay Cutler, but the Chiefs would not allow the Bears to do anything on offense once Forte was gone.

New York Jets
Running back LaDainian Tomlinson was injured in the week 13 win over the Redskins and his status for this game is unknown. The pay per head sports experts have not been totally convinced that Shonn Greene is able to carry the running game himself. In the Washington game, Greene showed he was more than capable as he scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win the game for New York. Quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for 165 yards and a touchdown in the week 13 win, but he was not a huge factor in the victory. The Jets will lean on its running game in week 14 and try to win this game on the ground.

Kansas City Chiefs
The NFL fans in Kansas City have had an up and down season. The Chiefs started off the season by getting blown out by the Buffalo Bills and the proceeded on to a three-game losing streak to open the season. The Chiefs were riding a four-game losing streak prior to beating the Bears in week 13. With Kyle Orton on board at quarterback, the Chiefs have a shot at putting up more points than it has in the past. But that may not translate into the wins that the Chiefs need.

The Bottom Line
The Chiefs are playing for pride and for jobs next season. The Jets are playing to keep its slim playoff hopes alive. The Jets make too many mistakes to be considered a Super Bowl contender, and it will be those mistakes that cost the Jets this game in week 14.
