Week 10 Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears PicksOnline Sportsbook Overview
Everyone in football is trying to figure out the Chicago Bears. Just when the entire league is ready to count the Bears out of the NFC playoff race, Chicago goes and wins two games in a row. It is extremely doubtful that the Bears will catch the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North title. It is extremely doubtful that anyone will catch the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North title. What the Bears have to focus on is the two NFC wild card spots, and those will not be easy to grab. The Falcons, Cowboys, Eagles and Falcons are all going to be in the running for those last two playoff spots along with the Bears, so Chicago will have its work cut out for it for the remainder of the season.

The Detroit Lions desperately want to get back on the price per head bookmaking radar scope for a lock on an NFC wild card spot and the Lions are starting to put the wins together to separate itself from the rest of the contenders.

The Lions still have an outside chance of catching the Packers for the NFC North title, but the Packers would have to start showing signs of weakness for Detroit to have a chance, and Green Bay is not showing any weaknesses at all. One of the ways that Detroit can separate itself from the rest of the NFC is to win big games like this one against the Bears.

Chicago Bears
The pay per head football fans in Chicago have been listening to running back Matt Forte complain about his contract negotiations for most of the season. In all honesty, Forte has a point because without him and the Chicago running game the Bears would not be 4-3. Quarterback Jay Cutler and the Bears’ passing game has not done much to bring the team back in tight games or put the opposition away late in a game. The Chicago defense has done everything it can to keep games close, but the Bears’ secondary is still suspect. The long ball has hurt the Bears and the Detroit Lions specialize in the long ball.

Detroit Lions
A 5 dimes review of the Detroit Lions’ defense shows a cocky but aggressive bunch of young players that will be causing problems for the opposition for many years to come. It is hard to imagine this weak Chicago Bears’ offensive line being able to fend off the Detroit pass rush. At the same time, it is hard to imagine the Detroit passing game not racking up serious yards against a inconsistent Bears’ secondary. Wide receiver Calvin “Megatron” Johnson is setting himself up for a huge day in this very important game.

The Bottom Line
The intertops elite teams in the NFC include the Packers, Saints and Lions. For the Bears to be considered elite, it would have to win big games. To this point, Chicago has not been able to close out important games that would help its standing in the conference. This game should be no different.
