The Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots have a lot of questions to answer in this preseason, and some of those questions will help define each team’s ability to reach the playoffs in 2011. The Jaguars have a quarterback controversy on their hands whether they want to admit it or not. Selecting top rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert in the 2011 NFL draft started a series of events that could disrupt the Jaguars for the entire season. Online casino sports fans watched as the media instantly flocked to get reactions from Jaguars’ veterans after Gabbert was drafted. The players towed the company line by welcoming Gabbert, but the loyalty to current quarterback David Garrard was obviously there. It would also be unfair to Garrard if he does not get a chance to find success with rookie wide receivers such as Dontrelle Inman and Cecil Shorts. The New England Patriots made the bold move of trading for former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who has already shown signs of continuing his attention grabbing act in New England. But Ochocinco has a large upside that, if quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick can get Ochocinco to cooperate, could be a large benefit to the Patriots. However, the acquisition of team cancer Albert Haynesworth was a mysterious move by the normally conservative Patriots. Haynesworth was not happy in a 3-4 defense, which is what the Patriots play. Haynesworth did not want to be a nose tackle in Washington, which is where the Patriots may use him. Belichick may have bitten off more than he can chew with this acquisition.
