Washington Redskins at Pittsburgh Steelers PicksIf you ask anyone with an online sportsbook, they will tell you that NFL football is a fantastic sport to bet on. Football betting can be lazy- you only have to pay attention on one day a week, sometimes, and all the games happen at once. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

You get all the stress over with, in a few short hours. A problem does present itself, however, when it comes to betting on football. As you approach your online bookie, it can be increasingly difficult to choose which games to bet on. All of the teams play at once! Some strong teams and playing, some weak, but how does one choose? Well, that’s what I’m here for. Each week I keep my eye on a few games that interest me. I look for games with some fanfare, as they will be exciting to watch, but also games with clear betting lines and the opportunity to make some money. So here we go, get to your betting websites and let’s get started.

Washington Redskins at Pittsburgh Steelers, 1:00 PM EST, Sunday, October 28th

Last week, the Skins suffered a close loss at the hands of the defending champion New York Giants, while the Steelers were victorious against the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. This week, RGIII and the 5th best offence in the league will walk onto Heinz Field to face off against the league’s 2nd best defence looking for a chance to redeem themselves. These teams each have only three wins this season- both less than fans expected at this point. This is a tough call between two teams with very strong points and very lackluster points as well. The Redskins are the best rushing team in the game with Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris. However, they also have the NFL’s second worst defence. The Steeler offence is fine, because of their passing game, and the defence is great, but they are ranked 26th in rushing- a traditional strong point for Steeler teams. The Steel curtain should be able to slow down the explosive running game of the Redskins and, statistically, ought to be able to win this game. I have a strange gut feeling, though.

My Pick: The Washington Redskins
