Matt Ryan Going for the EliteMany NFL betting fans had stopped believing in Matt Ryan after four seasons of being in playoff action and not being able to win a single game. This however looks like it's about to change. For those who believe that Ryan cannot become an elite quarterback, prepare yourself to be proven wrong. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

After the game went down against the Kansas City Chiefs, Ryan proved fans, handicappers and oddsmakers that he does have the attitude to become an elite quarterback this season.

Ryan was able to deposit a total of 23 passes into his receivers’ hands accumulating 299 yards and 3 touchdowns. Records show he was able to complete 74.2% of his passes.

For the 11th time since he began his professional career Ryan has been able to pull through 70% or more of his passes. This Sunday he was able to reach a mark that he has managed to surpass only four times in his career.

So why has Ryan reached this turning point? What’s changed? What's different?

It’s easy to claim natural progression of skills. Ryan is better this year because he’s got another season under his belt; but that doesn’t tell the whole story. It doesn’t even come close.

Many would think that the reason why Ryan is improving is due to a progress in talent and skill. And yes, maybe he has tried to improve in areas where he needed to. However, the main reason why he is set to shine this NFL betting season is because of Dirk Koetter. Dirk is the new offensive coordinator for the Falcons.

Ryan has weapons to put up a good show against any team. He has running backs Jacquizz Rodgers and Michael Turner. He has tight end Tony Gonzalez. Plus he can also count on Roddy White and Julio Jones. All in all, the cast that he has is a true envy for other QBs in the NFL.

But going back to Ryan and Koetter we have noticed that they managed to work very well together. The changes that Koetter has done to the defensive end of the Atlanta Falcons have Ryan playing and looking like a true NFL elite quarterback.

Koetter has brought diversity into the offensive play calling of the Falcons. It is not so easy anymore for contenders to call out their plays or chart out what they have in mind before they do it. He has implemented the vertical attack and also brought in the screen pass.

In a middle-to-deep passing game for the Falcons, Ryan was able to complete four passes accumulating more than 25 yards. They he was able to connect on five more passes that added up 15 to 25 yards.

Falcon fans where happy to see Koetter calling out a series of screen passes that ultimately worked out very well. This would almost never happen. All these changes have impacted in Ryan’s career and now can be seen as an elite quarterback on the rise.
