NFL Conference Championships: Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers

NFL Conference Championships BettingThe NFC conference championship is set and it will be in Atlanta as the Falcons take on the 49ers. The Falcons were finally able to win and get the playoff monkey off of their back. Matt Ryan and friends almost blew a 20 point lead to Russell Wilson, but luckily for them a botched timeout call by Pete Carroll gave them a second chance to win the game.

Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta has finally won their first playoff game, but will they win another? The fact is they almost lost to a rookie quarterback at home after botching a 20 point lead in the first half. If Pete Carroll had not called a late time out, Atlanta would not have had a second chance to make the 49 yard field goal. Matt Ryan will have serious problems with the “best defense in the NFL”. Jaquizz Rodgers needs to step up in order to take some of the pressure off Roddy White or Julio Jones. Atlanta’s defense will have a hard time holding back Colin Kaepernick’s running game and the Smith brothers.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are looking as good as ever, especially after defeating the Green Bay Packers in such a dominant fashion. Justin Smith, although injured is playing exceptionally well. The defense is also playing very well stopping Aaron Rodgers on several clutch occasions. They are the favorites of many online sports books and bookies to make it to the Super Bowl. They are also the favorites to win it all, and have been for the majority of the season. Sports book reviews are so convinced that the 49ers are going to win the Super Bowl that there could be a lot of money to be made betting against them. Kaepernick looks great, but his inexperience will come back to hurt him sooner or later.

If you are looking for a good early betting line, I would start looking now. The 49ers are going to be considered the favorites by many so the earlier the line the better the odds could be.
