New York Giants vs. New England Patriots Odds and Free PickThe NFL betting lines preseason will wind down this week with a full slate of games to be played on Thursday, with only one carrying over to Friday as teams prepare for the regular season opener the following Thursday between the New Orleans Saints and defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers. While those two NFC teams have the luxury of opening the regular season, the AFC has a ton of talented teams capable of challenging for the Super Bowl this year, and those teams will look to close out the exhibition schedule on a high note as they prepare for their own opening games.

New York Giants @ New England Patriots
Thursday, 7:30 PM ET

The Patriots have emerged as the consensus Super Bowl favorites and for good reason given the improvements that they made to a roster that already won 14 games a year ago.

New England will continue to move on the shoulders of quarterback Tom Brady, who has looked even more comfortable in the pocket another year removed from that devastating blow to the knee that kept him out for that entire season two years ago. Brady is joined by Chad Ocho Cinco, while the defense is bolstered by the additions of Albert Haynesworth and Shaun Ellis. Those players likely won’t see much sports betting time in the final exhibition game, but they will be ready when called upon.

NFL Betting Pick: New York Giants + 7.5

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Jets
Thursday, 7:30 PM ET

The Jets will have a tough time keeping up with the Patriots this season, especially considering that they will not have cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on their side. In fact, Asomugha will line up against New York this week as a member of the Eagles in a cruel twist of fate, as head coach Rex Ryan looks to finish his sports betting bonus preseason off on a winning note.

NFL Betting Pick: New York Jets + 4

Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons
Thursday, 7:30 PM ET

While the Patriots and Jets are the sports betting favorites in the AFC, the Ravens could be a surprise sleeper pick. Baltimore travels to face the Falcons in their preseason finale this week, and they will need to shift their focus to getting through the week without injury. Atlanta is expected to once again be among the top contenders in the NFC, and they will show the Ravens why with a big home win to close out the exhibition schedule.

NFL Betting Pick: Atlanta Falcons – 2.5

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Carolina Panthers
Thursday, 8:00 PM ET

The defending AFC champion Steelers have registered consecutive wins and will look to close out the preseason on a high note against Cam Newton and the Panthers. Pittsburgh has the edge in both talent and depth, and there is no reason not to go fishing for them here.
