NFL Betting: Patriots, Jets Look To Rebound Week Four in AFC

There has no bigger surprise this NFL betting lines season than the Buffalo Bills knocking off the New England Patriots last week, and with the New York Jets getting hammered by the Oakland Raiders, two of the top contenders in the AFC head in to week four looking to rebound with a win. Here is a quick look at three of the most interesting AFC matchups for this weekend.

The Patriots cost themselves last week as much as Buffalo beat them, and after such a disappointing outing you can bet that head coach Bill Belichick will want to see his team back on track this Sunday. New England moved the ball almost at will until a couple of strange bounces went the other way and led to Bills’ points, and with a defense that is still searching for an identity, quarterback Tom Brady and company cannot afford to turn the ball over.

Oakland has been absolutely dominant running the ball with an average of 185 yards per game, and the Raiders will need that rushing attack to continue to produce if they are going to be able to keep pace with a determined Patriots’ team looking to get back in the sports betting win column.

Miami Dolphins @ San Diego Chargers (-7)

The Dolphins have been the best 0-3 fishing games team in recent memory, but the combination of a tough schedule and the inability to put away opponents has cost them early this year. Miami ranks seventh in rushing yards and 14th moving the ball through the air, but their biggest struggles have come on the defensive side of the ball, where they rank 30th against the pass. That won’t be good enough heading in to this Sunday’s matchup against Phillip Rivers and the Chargers, and if San Diego can continue to play with price per head urgency they should have no problem

A closer look at the statistics reveals that the Jets are one of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL since head coach Rex Ryan as their leader, coming up big in some games while crashing back down to earth in others. New York was absolutely awful in nearly every aspect of their game against the Raiders a week ago, and could be in tough to bounce back against a Baltimore team that has had this date circled since before the year began, with Ryan set to make his return to the place where he served as defensive coordinator. The Ravens have absolutely blown away the Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Rams already this season, and unless the Jets can put up some points in this one they could be next in line for another sports betting bonus loss.
