Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers Week 2 Sunday September 16th, 2012This Sunday the San Francisco 49ers will be going head to head against the Detroit Lions. The Lions are being considered one of the strong offensive teams so far in the season so this game is sure to be one NFL betting fans will not want to miss. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

Last week the public was very surprised to see how the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packer who was the favorites in the game. This week they will be looking to pull off a similar situation and keep moving forward on their way to the top. The 49ers have the attitude and the mentality to win every game as their win in the last game gave them enough confidence.

For this game the Detroit Lions will let QB Matthew Stafford throw the pigskin. In week one this resulted very well for them so they as he easily found 10 receivers to complete his passes with Sunday. This will be a very offensive Detroit team that will be coming to the 49ers home with a passing mentality. This game however might be the only opportunity the Lions have to defeat the San Francisco 49ers.

The Detroit Lions will attempt to do something very similar to what the Green Bay Packers did in their last game against the 49ers. They will try to force them to take eject Patrick Willis from the match and replace him with another defensive back. If this happens they will be able to take advantage of that.

Perrish Cox is the defensive back however and he was able to put up a good game against the Green Bay Packers instead of Patrick Willis. If the Packers were not able to succeed in this task, then it is possible that the Lions will not be able to pull it off.

It seems to experts and handicappers that the San Francisco 4ers will focus their game on Alex Smith and on the bunch of wide receiving weapons that the team holds. Smith knows exactly how to take handle the ball and how to take care of it and for him the Detroit secondary will not be an issue. However, if he wants to really show off he will to get sufficient help from the offensive line.

All in all it looks like the rushing attacks will be limited on Sunday for this game. There will be a lot of strategy applied to the 49ers on so the Detroit Lions will have to work hard to decipher what the coaching staffs from the 49ers are trying to pull off.

49ers 27, Lions 21

Currently at Bovada sportsbook the San Francisco 49ers are -7 point favorites against the Detroit Lions and the total is sitting at 46.
