NFL Betting – Cowboys A Tough Test For Vikings

NFL Divisional Playoffs Odds at BSN SportsThe Dallas Cowboys could be the hottest teams remaining in the NFL playoffs. On Sunday, NFL betting fans will see them take on one of the coldest teams heading in.

The Cowboys Vikings odds has the home team listed as a three-point favorite but aside from the home-field advantage, there may not be many advantages for the Vikings. After starting 10-1, they lost their swagger. They lost three of their last five games and nearly lost the No. 2 seed in the NFC. They should be refreshed but if they don’t

Why The Cowboys Can Win

NFL betting cappers have seen the Cowboys turn their December – and playoff woes – completely around as they have been very impressive over the last month. The Cowboys defense has held their last four opponents to just 31 points while the offense has been on fire. Tony Romo has posted a quarterback rating of 100 or more in six of his last seven games and more importantly, he’s avoiding mistakes.

The Vikings defense was run over in the last month of the season and injuries have taken its toll. If the Cowboys play smart, they can win this matchup.

Why The Vikings Can Win

The Vikings better hope that the bye week has cleared their heads. The Vikings were rolling at 10-1 but they lost several times down the stretch – to Arizona, to Carolina, to Chicago – and then rumors of a rift between Brett Favre and Brad Childress surfaced. The Vikings are the better team on the field and they have home field advantage, but unless they have cleared their minds, they are going to get worked over in this contest.

Adrian Peterson has been missing in action and the Vikings will need him to do more than just fumble and run for 3.3 yards per carry if they want to go deep in the playoffs.

What Will Happen

The Vikings are coming off a bye and they are at home, so this won’t be a one-sided contest. At the same time, the Cowboys are the hotter team right now and they are relaxed. The pressure is on Minnesota to win this game and a calm, confident Cowboys squad is going to be their kryptonite.

Unless Peterson runs wild, the Vikings will be bounced from the playoffs on Sunday by a complete Cowboys team.

BSN Sports Pick: Cowboys -2.5
