Jets vs Colts oddsNFL betting players have watched the New York Jets complete a pair of road upsets so far in the playoffs, but this week, they’ll travel to Indianapolis to face the No.1-seeded Colts, who will have revenge on their mind after the Jets handed them their first win of the season under controversial circumstances.

Jets vs Colts odds – Sunday, January 24, 3:00 PM ET

The Jets’ defense had another big game, and they took advantage of a few San Diego mistakes in a 17-14 win in sunny California on Sunday as 8.5-point sportsbook underdogs when the line finally stopped moving. Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding, who is going to the Pro Bowl, missed three field goals along the way, while the Chargers were undisciplined with 10 penalties. This left the door wide open for the Jets, and they walked through. Actually, it was more like ran through as New York rushed for 169 yards. Mark Sanchez, who was returning to southern California, where he grew up and went to school, went 12-of-23 for 100 yards, a touchdown and a pick.

The Colts, coming off their bye week, looked fresh in a 20-3 win over Baltimore, and particularly on defense, Indy flew all over the field to force four turnovers. Peyton Manning was 30-of-44 for 246 yards, two touchdowns and a pick for the Colts, who had just 42 yards on the ground. However, they didn’t need their offense to be spectacular as the Colts’ defense dominated Joe Flacco, Ray Rice and the rest of the Ravens.

The Colts are a 7.5-point favorite at home in this AFC championship game, and anyone who gives out betting tips will tell you that Week 16’s 29-15 win for the Jets doesn’t mean much. In fact, it could even spark the Colts, who took out their starters with a 15-10 lead in the third quarter of that game. The Jets would go on to win and ride a wave of momentum to this point. The Colts would love nothing more than to avenge this loss, and they are experienced enough to handle the multiple defensive packages they’ll surely see from the Jets. The Colts also did a great job of stopping Rice, which puts the onus on Flacco, a second-year quarterback on the road in the playoffs. Look for them to utilize the same formula this week for another NFL betting win.

NFL odds pick: Indy -7.5
