Tom Brady proved once again that he is ‘The Man’ after New England humbled Tim Tebow and the Broncos last week in a matchup that drew the season’s highest viewer ratings.

Brady also shrugged off the usual ‘you were really poised under pressure’ compliments in the postgame interview by saying, “I’ve been in a lot of big games… most of them bigger than THIS one.”

Maybe so, Tom, but we see the Pats letting down a bit after their blowout of Denver – especially since they’ll be taking on a division foe they’ve pounded in three straight meetings.

Plus, big pointspread margins don’t translate into ATS success for New England: they’re just 4-16 ATS lately as double-digit chalk, including 0-4 ATS off back-to-back wins.

There is one fl y in the ointment: Bill Belichick’s 13-1 SU and ATS career mark in division games when playing off consecutive road trips.

But that rosy stat is more than offset by the Dolphins’ postcard-perfect 9-0 ATS record of late when taking doubles on the highway.

Today’s matchup marks the second straight visit to a cold weather site for the Fish (beat Buffalo last week) who clearly play better away from South Beach.

Miami also seems to have banded together following the ouster of head coach Tony Sparano and show up here with a solid 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS record on the road versus a foe off three SU wins.

Toss in the visitors’ 7-1 ATS effort in Last Road Games and we’ll gladly take doubles with an avenging division rival that owns 75 YPG the better defense.

Bovada Sportsbook currently have the Patriots listed as 10½-point favorites against the Dolphins, and the game's total is sitting at 48½.
