"I saw him throw and look good," Ryan told reporters. "Let's go ahead and begin with Mark. How long play? Well, we determine the same day depending on how you feel and see it."

Sanchez was playing very well in the last two games, even with his shoulder injury and Ryan want your quarterback does not lose the pace to get himself to the playoffs.

The quarterback has had only limited practice, but Ryan liked what he saw in training.

They could also face the Kansas City Chiefs or the Indianapolis Colts, marking the second time that Sanchez leads the Jets to the playoffs in two seasons leading the NFL.

Ryan said the offensive tackle Damien Woody (knee) and James Ihedigbo deep (knee) did not practice and probably will not play against Buffalo. Tight end Shaun Ellis (shoulder) and guard Matt Slauson, who has just dad, were also absent from training on this day.

The cornerback Darrelle Revis (hamstring) and Antonio Cromartie (groin) and deep Eric Smith (concussion) had limited practice, while receiver Santonio Holmes (quadriceps) and Brad Smith (hand), center Nick Mangold ( shoulder) and linebacker Bryan Thomas (ankle) fully trained.
