Advice on Super Bowl Props Betting

Super Bowl XLV Betting OddsThe sports betting world loves a little side bet. When it comes to NFL betting and Super Bowl XLV betting, there are plenty of props bets to consider. When you are looking over the various betting services, don’t forget to take a look at the props bets to see how you can make a few extra dollars on the biggest game of the year.

Ben Roethlisberger Total Passing Yards
Some of the prop bets have no basis in football knowledge at all, and they can be the most fun to check out. When it comes to Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s total passing yards; the odds are -105 that Ben will end with an even number and -105 that he will end with an odd number. With the odds being the same, and the fact that we are talking about Ben Roethlisberger here, go with odd. Roethlisberger has one game where he finished with even yards in the playoffs and one game where he finished odd. He will break that tie in the only way that Big Ben knows how, by being odd.

Will Roethlisberger Throw An Interception?
The odds are -160 for yes and +130 for no that Ben Roethlisberger will throw an interception in Super Bowl XLV. Considering how much Roethlisberger makes up the plays as he goes along, and how fast the entire Green Bay defense is, it is safest to bet that Big Ben will throw an interception in this game. The bad thing for the Steelers is that the first interception will probably be early in the game, and it will not be the only one. The Steelers were able to overcome an early Big Ben interception in the divisional playoff game against the Ravens, but it will be a different story against the Packers.

Which Will Happen First For Aaron Rodgers?
Aaron Rodgers is considered to be a more efficient quarterback than Roethlisberger. Rodgers tries to stay with the play as long as he can, and he only breaks the play when he absolutely has to. This props bet is on whether Rodgers will throw a touchdown or an interception first. The odds on Rodgers throwing a touchdown before throwing an interception is -200, and the odds on him throwing an interception before he throws a touchdown are +160. Go with the odds on this one. Rodgers will be playing a very cautious game in the first half, and when he throws the ball he will not be taking many chances.

Aaron Rodgers Total Passing Yards
This is the same kind of props bet as the Roesthlisberger bet mentioned earlier, and the odds are exactly the same; -105 for odd or even yards. All three of Green Bay’s playoff games this year ended with Rodgers throwing for an even amount of yards, and he threw for an even amount of yards in seven of the 15 games he started in for the regular season. Rodgers is the picture of consistency, so expect him to throw for even yards in the Super Bowl as well.
