 Never one to mix words, New York Jets’ head coach Rex Ryan didn’t stutter when he came out with his prediction for the team’s outlook this coming sports betting season. The big man from the big apple guaranteed that his team would be in the Super Bowl next year, even bigger words from the man that led them to consecutive AFC Championship games in his two-year tenure with the franchise. Ryan will have his work cut out for him if he is going to live up to his guarantee, especially with the New England Patriots taking notice in the AFC East. The key to the Jets’ taking off in 2011-12 will be the play of franchise quarterback Mark Sanchez, who will also need to take a step forward in his third season as a pro.
For Ryan, it might not matter on the surface where the Jets finish this season as long as they get into the playoffs. That might not be the right approach to take as Sanchez and company would really benefit from the confidence that would come with being the top seed, especially considering that not having home field advantage really hurt them against both the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers in consecutive AFC Championship games.

NFL Draft Betting: Dolphins and Cowboys First Round Picks |

 The Miami Dolphins decided to take an element "local" as their first draft pick of the NFL Mock Draft to take on turn 15 and center-guard Mike Pouncey.
Pouncey is a graduate of the Gators of the University of Florida and will provide protection for quarterback Chad Henne and could even be the owner at the time of delivering the centers.
Mike's twin brother Maurkice, center of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who drafted him in 2010 in the first round at the 18 general shift.
Mike Maurkice accompanied on stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York and as a solo act with his brother put the Dolphins cap, a gesture that may not please many fans of the Steelers.

 The New York Jets are seriously considering cutting tackle Kris Jenkins, Vernon Gholston and linebackers Jason Taylor and offensive Damien Woody.
None of these moves have been made yet, but should occur in one or two days.
The Daily News reported that there is still a possibility that the team re-sign Jenkins, Gholston, Woody and / or Taylor to reduce their wages after being cut.
Jenkins loss a total of 25 regular NFL betting season games and six playoff since 2009 because of a injury. A second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2001, Jenkins has been selected to four Pro Bowls, most recently in 2008, his first season with New York.
Gholston, the sixth overall pick of the Jets in 2008, has played three years without recording a sack of quarterback and has been seen as one of the worst draft pick in team history. Has two years left on his rookie contract.
