Online Sportsbook Overview It has been quite a roller coaster for the Oakland Raiders over the past two weeks. The day before the Raiders were to take on the Houston Texans in week five, team owner Al Davis passed away. The Raiders went out and racked up an emotional victory for the memory of the franchise’s only owner. In week six, the Raiders played its first home game since Al Davis’ passing and beat the Cleveland Browns 24-17. But in the process of winning the game, the Raiders lost quarterback Jason Campbell for the season. Now the Raiders have to decide if it is time to give backup quarterback Kyle Boller the start, or go off the grid and bring in David Garrard or trade for Kyle Orton.
The Kansas City Chiefs are still reeling from the loss of running back Jamaal Charles for the season. The price per head bookie crowd has also not been impressed with the Chiefs’ offensive line. It can be easy to blame Kansas City’s 2-3 record on quarterback Matt Cassel, but it is hardly Cassel’s fault.

NFL Week 7 Preview: Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins |

Sports Betting Overview The thin, mile-high air is starting to get to the Denver Broncos. The team keeps hiring head coaches that have the same tendencies and make the same mistakes. When Josh McDaniels arrived in Denver, he immediately dismantled the team by alienating starting quarterback Jay Cutler and eventually moving Cutler to Chicago. Then McDaniels drafted quarterback Tim Tebow at least one round ahead of where Tebow should have been drafted. Kyle Orton came over from Chicago in the Cutler trade and became the starter. The Broncos were awful, so the team fired McDaniels after last season. When former Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox took the Denver job, he had just come off of a situation where he completely ruined the career of then-rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen. Now Fox has created another quarterback fiasco in Denver.
The Miami Dolphins’ problem is a little more straightforward. The Dolphins are just a terrible football team. The cost per head Dolphins’ fans were wondering what the team was going to do when both running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown were let go by the team.

The Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions will meet this Sunday at Ford Field.
The handshake seen ‘round the world may just be start the start of bad things to come for Jim Schwartz and his Lions.
As the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end” and our sports betting database confirms the English proverb as it notes: NFL teams who open the season 4-0 or better are just 1-8-1 ATS off their first loss of the betting season when facing a .500 or greater non-division foe off a SU and ATS win.

As it is, the Lions, themselves, are 2-8 SU off their initial setback of the year – not a good sign for a team laying points in the follow-up.

The Chargers head east in this early start Sunday looking to overcome their poor play in Eastern Time zone cities where, under Norv Turner, the team stands 3-10 SU and 4-9 ATS – including 0-4 SU and ATS in regular online betting season visits to AFC East sites under the Norvous one.
Further complicating matters has been the play of NFL teams off a Bye Week this season (1-5 SU) where the new Collective Bargaining Agreement calls for four straight days of time off for players (including weekends) during their week of rest.
Thus, rest appears to be turning to rust and it couldn’t come at a worse time for the usually slow-starting Chargers who this year have bolted out to 4-1 beginning.
The Jets are listed as 1½-point favorites against the Chargers, while the game's total is sitting at 45½.
