The Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints were the two best teams in the NFC this season and both have made a case to be the best in the NFL. The Saints started 13-0 this year while the Vikings started 10-1.

Vikings Strengths:

While Brett Favre has carried the load this season and made Sidney Rice into a Pro Bowl-caliber wide receiver, the Vikings also have a running back named Adrian Peterson, who notched 18 rushing touchdowns this year.  

On defense, the Vikings have a stout defensive line and are as good as it gets up front. Between Jared Allen, Kevin Williams and Pat Williams, the Vikings are tough to move in the ground game.

NFL betting players have watched the New York Jets complete a pair of road upsets so far in the playoffs, but this week, they’ll travel to Indianapolis to face the No.1-seeded Colts, who will have revenge on their mind after the Jets handed them their first win of the season under controversial circumstances.

The Jets’ defense had another big game, and they took advantage of a few San Diego mistakes in a 17-14 win in sunny California on Sunday as 8.5-point sportsbook underdogs when the line finally stopped moving. Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding, who is going to the Pro Bowl, missed three field goals along the way, while the Chargers were undisciplined with 10 penalties. This left the door wide open for the Jets, and they walked through. Actually, it was more like ran through as New York rushed for 169 yards. Mark Sanchez, who was returning to southern California, where he grew up and went to school, went 12-of-23 for 100 yards, a touchdown and a pick.

The Colts, coming off their bye week, looked fresh in a 20-3 win over Baltimore, and particularly on defense, Indy flew all over the field to force four turnovers. Peyton Manning was 30-of-44 for 246 yards, two touchdowns and a pick for the Colts, who had just 42 yards on the ground. However, they didn’t need their offense to be spectacular as the Colts’ defense dominated Joe Flacco, Ray Rice and the rest of the Ravens.

The Super Bowl odds will get a little clearer after this weekend as divisional round of the playoffs is going to trim the teams from eight contestants to the final four.  

The New York Jets and San Diego Chargers will play in the final game of the weekend as both teams will meet up on Sunday afternoon. This will be a long road trip for the Jets, who are an East Coast team heading out on the West Coast. Below is a preview for NFL betting fans:
