Tom Coughlin - Giants Betting Odds

At the end of the minicamp three days of the Giants, coach Tom Coughlin sent a strong message to his team to leave behind the bitter elimination of the 2008 season.

Requires solidarity.

The coach of the Super Bowl XLII champion gathered his team at the end of the practice and gave them 18 minutes of a conversation in any corner of the training camp from which the players came out motivated and focused on four main points.

Most of the veterans agreed that the issues highlighted were the strategist: Remember last year, work hard to be ready for training camp, be responsible with their peers inside and outside the pitch and do not forget that this is a group that still has the ingredients and is capable of winning another Super Bowl.

The third point of accountability within and outside the slatted was a clear reference to personal problems and discipline of the controversial open receiver Plaxico Burress, who left to belong to the organization this year.

"They need to think long and hard on the disappointment we experienced in January in terms of what we create for ourselves and how much priority we give to our 2009 season," said Coughlin.

Brad Childress

Brad Childress, head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, said that his team never put a deadline this week to see if Brett Favre wanted to play with them in 2009.

Childress said that no one program or a table of dates to be adjusted if that Favre decides to come out of retirement to play his 19 professional debut season with the Vikings.

Interviewed by the radio station KFAN Minneapolis, Childress denied a report that was released on ESPN in which he reported that the strategist had sent to say that Favre had to define his status for the 2009 season this week.

Asked about whether there was a deadline to know Favre's decision, Childress was adamant: "Absolutely not-unless it came from Deanna's wife or somebody like Facre-".

"Certainly, (the ultimatum) would not come from me. It is not even a possibility. I do not know where it went, "said Childress.

For his part, Favre has not issued a comment on it during the week even through his agent Bus Cook, who has been sought by the press in recent days without success.
