NFL Betting – Week 16 Picks Houston Texans @ Miami Dolphins

Sports Betting Odds: Dolphins -3

The Houston Texans have been one of the most frustrating teams to cheer for this year. Each and every week you don’t know what you’re going to get from them.

Case and point: two weeks ago at home to the Seattle Seahawks as a six-point favorite, the Texans thrashed them 34-7. Last Sunday, as a 14-point favorite over the St. Louis Rams, who were playing with their third string quarterback and who had been fighting the swine flu bug, the Texans barely won by three points.

The Miami Dolphins are a very consistent team. Generally speaking, they run the ball well every week, they play smart and as long as they don’t turn it over, they usually win. That will be the case again this week and they should get the win.

That may be the trigger for a dramatic end Chad Ochocinco team, three weeks from the end of the regular season.

1 .- Chris Henry - Although Chargers and Bengals have faced in only twenty-nine occasions (San Diego wins the series 18-11), these two teams have played memorable games, like that frigid AFC Championship 1981, which Cincinnati won 27.7 in the second coldest game in NFL history.

The latest bout between these two teams was in 2006 when the Bengals won 49-41 at Paul Brown Stadiu, behind Carson Palmer, who set a personal mark with 440 yards passing.

San Diego Chargers are 9-5 Cincinnati, but the Bengals won 34-27 on their last visit.

NFL Betting – Colts vs. Jaguars Odds at BSN SportsThe Colts do plan to play their starters in this game but it is situation that not many people can predict. Indianapolis may not have much motivation while the Jaguars need to win their last three games to make the playoffs odds. Indianapolis head coach Jim Caldwell is saying the right things but who knows what will happen. “We’re not going to assign numbers, in terms of plays, for anybody. We didn’t do that for the first 13 games, and we’re not going to do it for No. 14, either.”

Jacksonville knows they control their own fate in the final three games beginning with Thursday night against the Colts. “We know that we have to win out,” Jaguars guard Uche Nwaneri said. “That’s really the only way to ensure that we’ll be in the nfl playoffs odds. You don’t want to leave it to needing to win this and hope these people lose or these people lose. We control our own fate. We still have that fortunately.” The Colts beat Jacksonville 14-12 in the season opener as Manning threw for 301 yards and a TD. The Jacksonville defense has been weak against the pass, allowing 239.5 yards per game.

Peyton Manning passed for 220 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions for the Colts, while Dallas Clark caught five passes for 43 yards with three touchdowns.
