March Madness Betting: Virginia Commonwealth Rams vs. USC Trojans Stats

Virginia Commonwealth Rams vs. USC Trojans PicksVirginia Commonwealth Rams and the USC Trojans will meet this Wednesday March 16th, 2011 at Dayton Arena.

The Rams will be anxious to vindicate themselves from the bashing Dick Vitale, Jay Bilas and the rest of the talking heads gave them for being here instead of Colorado or Virginia Tech.

With USC making its first trip east of the Mississippi this college basketball betting season, we say Virginia Commonwealth quiets their critics. Though we’re not infatuated by their negative FG percentage or rebounding margin, let’s not forget that the Rams are a perfect 4-0 ATS in this betting event since 2004.

Our handicappers also reminds us that USC is 0-2 ATS versus the Colonial Athletic Association while Virginia Commonwealth is 1-1 SU and 2-0 ATS in its last two meetings with the PAC 10, including an 89-85 victory over UCLA earlier this NCAA Basketball betting season.

In their last action, Virginia Commonwealth was a 70-65 loser against Old Dominion. They failed to cover the 4.5–point spread as underdogs.

USC was a 67-62 loser against Arizona in the last action. They failed to cover the 1–point spread as favorites.

Bodog sportsbook currently have USC listed as 4½-point favorites versus the Rams, and the total is sitting at 127.
