Kentucky Wildcats vs. Connecticut Huskies OddsTwo of the most storied teams in the history of the NCAA national title tournament will clash in the Final Four Saturday, with the chance to play the role of favorites in the championship game on the line. Whichever team gets through will automatically become the favorites against either VCU or Butler, as the Connecticut Huskies and Kentucky Wildcats clash in the most highly anticipated game of the tournament.

Odds: Connecticut – 2.5

It was Connecticut that came out on top in an 84-67 win when these teams met in Hawaii back in November, but a lot has changed since. The Wildcats have shown great improvement with three freshmen leading the way, but they’ll be in tough against a Connecticut team that boasts arguably the best player in the March Madness betting tournament in Kemba Walker.

March Madness Betting Preview: Kentucky

Brandon Knight has been the best of a group of three freshmen that include forward Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb, bouncing back from a poor performance in their tournament opener to lead the team in scoring. Knight has already showed his mental toughness by hitting two game-winning baskets already, and will be counted on to lead the Wildcats’ offense against a high-scoring Connecticut team. Head coach John Calipari is known for his ability to bring the best out of his young teams, and all three of these pay per head players have proven why once again. Knight and Jones have both scored over 15 points per game, while Lamb has shot over 49-percent this season.

March Madness Betting Preview: Connecticut

Those three players will need to be at their best to counter a talented Huskies’ team that has been about much more than the one player that everybody has been talking about. While Walker has averaged 23.9 points and 4.5 assists per game, freshman Jeremy Lamb has provided the perfect complimentary presence that this team needs with an average of over 11 points and four rebounds. Forward Alex Oriakhi has averaged 8.6 rebounds per game to provide the inside presence that Connecticut has needed, and averaged nearly 10 points per game to be the interior sports betting bonus compliment to Walker and Lamb.

March Madness Betting: Outlook & Pick

Despite how well they have come together to reach the Final Four, there are major question marks about Kentucky’s ability to perform under pressure against a team as talented as the Huskies on such a big stage. Walker has been absolutely outstanding since the open of the Big East tournament, and has done an excellent job of opening things up for his teammates. That will continue as the strongest team from the strongest conference in college ball punches its ticket in the NCAA national title game.

BSN Sports Pick: Huskies – 2.5
