College Basketball Betting PicksThe No. 3 ranked Texas Longhorns will look to make their case as the best team in the country when they host the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Wednesday night. Texas has been unstoppable since the Big Ten season got underway, with a perfect 10 conference wins to show so far, and will look to extend the dream of an unbeaten Big Ten season without another ranked opponent left on their schedule.

The Cowboys had a string of back-to-back wins snapped by Nebraska their last time out, and now it will be hard to prevent consecutive losses. This game marks the beginning of a stretch of three straight games against ranked opponents for Oklahoma State, as the toughest portion of their schedule commences with just six games to play.

College Basketball Betting Preview: Oklahoma State

The Cowboys would like to get back to .500 in Big Ten play before the season is through, but that will be a tough task considering that it means they will have to beat at least one ranked opponent. Oklahoma State held the Longhorns to their lowest point total of the season when these teams met earlier in the year, but since then have split four games and watched their road losing streak grow to six games. The Cowboys have relied far too heavily on leading scorer Marshall Moses, who has averaged 14.9 points per game this season but scored 18 in the loss to Nebraska on Saturday night.

College Basketball Betting Preview: Texas

The Longhorns don’t want to leave anything to sports online betting chance in regards to their pursuit of a national title, and they know that a perfect Big Ten season would be the perfect route to No. 1. After what happened last season, Texas players have said they might actually prefer to stay below the top spot, in order to avoid the jinx that has plagued so many No. 1’s in the past. Jordan Hamilton has paced the Longhorns with a team-high 18.9 points per game and 7.6 rebounds, leading Texas to its best start to league play since going 13-0 in the Southwest conference back in 1962-63. A tough defense and offense that always seems to come through in the clutch have been the Longhorns’ signature all year, and that will need to continue Wednesday night to avoid any chance at an upset.

College Basketball Betting: Outlook & Pick

There is no reason to think that Texas’ Big Ten run will come to an end anytime soon, but then again, the same thing was said about Duke, Ohio State, and Kansas this season and they all lost in that following game. The Longhorns have a relatively easy road to an undefeated Big Ten season, one that will come down to execution.

BSN Sports Pick: Longhorns - 11
