North Carolina Tar Heels @ (3) Duke Blue Devils LinesWith the March Madness betting tournament right around the corner, the NCAA basketball regular season will continue to wind down this weekend with three key matchups featuring top-25 teams taking the spotlight. While the second-ranked Syracuse Orange are still in contention for the top seed in the nation, no contest will be bigger than when the sixth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels travel to face the third-ranked Duke Blue Devils with the top seed in the ACC on the line.

A three-point dagger from Austin Rivers with no time left on the clock helped the Blue Devils spoil North Carolina’s perfect record in the ACC, and snapped their record-home winning streak at 31 games. Rivers scored a season-high 29 points in that game, and even more impressive is how he managed to do it with six three-point shots along the way.

The Tar Heels will make their perimeter defense one of the big areas to improve on heading in to this contest, and shutting down Rivers on the outside will be among the biggest keys. Harrison Barnes scored 25 in the first meeting between these teams, while Tyler Zeller finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if this sports betting contest came down to the wire once again with the Tar Heels returning the upset favor for what happened earlier this season.

(18) Louisville Cardinals @ (2) Syracuse Orange
Saturday, 4:00 PM ET

The Orange have assembled nine straight wins since dropping their lone Betonline loss of the season at Notre Dame, and while they have already beaten Louisville once on the road, this team won’t take anything for granted. The tandem of Scoop Jardine and Kris Joseph really struggled in Syracuse’s last meeting against the Cardinals in a 52-51 win, going a combined 2-for-17 shooting, with Fab Melo stepping up with 11, while CJ Fair came off the bench with 13. Both Jardine and Joseph will want to bounce back and make sure they are hitting their shots as the Madness continues to creep closer, and keep their slim hopes of regaining the top seed alive.

(12) Georgetown Hoyas @ (7) Marquette Golden Eagles
Saturday, 2:00 PM ET

After barely surviving a trip to West Virginia, and the playing at Cincinnati on Wednesday, the Golden Eagles return home looking for a chance to finish their Big East season off in style with a home date against the Hoyas. Georgetown had its way with Marquette in a 73-70 win the first time these teams met, but the atmosphere should be much different at the Bradley Center in their final home game. The Golden Eagles had put together four straight double-digit wins before barely squeezing past the Mountaineers, so they should be a pay head lock to come through at home in this one.
