This past weekend was a combination of both conference play for the Power Six and bracket busters play for March Madness betting hopefuls. In conference play, fans, media and handicappers alike could not have seen the upset coming that did in the Big 10. Led by freshman Trey Burke, the 17th nation wide ranked Michigan Wolverines, did the unthinkable, when they became the second Michigan squad this year, to take out an Ohio State team. This time, the Wolverines took out the Buckeyes sixth ranked basketball squad, which has lost to both Michigan schools in the past two weeks. Thus, sports betting enthusiast are wondering, can the Wolverines win March Madness?
After Saturday’s monumental win over the Buckeyes, the Michigan Wolverines put the rest of the Big 10 on notice, as they plan to not only win the conference tournament starting next week, but March Madness all together. The aforementioned Trey Burke was a highly touted prospect, the Wolverines seemingly recruited out of nowhere. While Duke guard Austin Rivers is seen as a franchise shooting guard, it is the Wolverines Burke, who scouts believe can be a game changer at the next level.

Our betting sports news predictions takes us to Memphis where many insist Elvis is still alive… unlike the Tigers who are just 13- 23-2 ATS here of late, including 5-12-1 ATS when laying doubles.
Memphis has also been less than ‘kingly’ when facing foes with a combination of 6-plus days of rest and revenge, going just 6-18 ATS – including 2-13 ATS when facing an opponent with a win percentage of .600 or less.
That’s enough to spell t-r-o-u-b-l-e for anyone’s bankroll, certainly not what you’d expect from the team currently tied with Southern Miss for the CUSA lead.
Enter the 12-13 Miners from El Paso, a squad that looks terribly overmatched against a bunch of Tigers playing off consecutive blowouts, a 79-45 destruction of UAB followed by a rout of Tulane on Wednesday.

While the top teams in the nation fight it out for No. 1 ahead of the 2012 March Madness betting tournament, there is still a lot to be decided in terms of conference championships, with all of the action continuing this weekend on another Super Saturday in college hoops. Here is a quick look at four of the key college basketball betting matchups for this coming Saturday.
(3) Missouri Tigers @ Texas A&M Aggies Saturday, 2:00 PM ET
The most pleasant surprise in the Big 12 this season has been the play of No. 3 Missouri, which pulled ahead of No. 5 Kansas in the national rankings this past week but still remains one-half game back in the conference standings. The Tigers have already mauled the Jayhawks once this season, and winning both games against the No. 10 Baylor Bears solidified their position in the conference.

The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes have established that the road to a Big Ten title will have to go through the Value City Arena, and they could face their toughest conference challenge on a sports betting weekend that will go a long way to determining the overall outlook in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes host the No. 12 Michigan State Spartans for the first of two meetings between the schools this season, and while the top two teams in the conference battle it out, the rest of the conference will fight not to fall too far behind.
Nebraska Cornhuskers @ Penn State Nitany Lions Saturday, 1:00 PM ET
Two tams that won’t contend in the Big Ten this season are Nebraska and Penn State, which play eachother this Saturday afternoon with a place in the Big Ten basement on the line for the loser.
