The Ducks laid waste to Stanford’s dream of a perfect season with last week’s 53-30 humbling of the Cardinal. But that win presents Southern Cal with an almost divine opportunity. Should the Trojans upset Oregon and defeat an overmatched UCLA team, they can claim both the Pac-12 South crown and a win over the North’s representative in the inaugural conference championship – thus, effectively making USC the league’s ‘true’ champion on the field. This is the Trojans’ bowl game, and they could care less about the Ducks’ 21-game home win streak. Lane Kiffin will have his troops focused on avenging a pair of losses in this series the last two years (USC 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS away with double revenge exact). The men of Troy arrived fully-armed: they’re 12-3-1 ATS as dogs of 7.5 or more points, including 5-0 ATS versus a foe that allows more than 17 PPG. They’re also a battle-worthy 11-1 SU and 10-2 ATS in Game Eleven and 11-3-1 ATS as conference dogs of 3 or more points playing with revenge. Much like TCU this week, the Ducks are a bonafi de ‘Brilliant Disguise’ fade and we like the sound of that music, as teams who upset 6-0 or greater opponents are just 5-19 ATS as home favorites of more than 14 points in their next game. And the quackers’ 0-6 ATS record after knocking off an undefeated foe versus a foe off a SU and ATS win of 4 or more points just adds more fuel to the fire. Trojans go Duck hunting and have Oregon right in their sights… Vegas Sportsbooks currently have the Ducks listed as 14½-point favorites versus the Trojans, and the game's total is sitting at 66. Southern Cal Trojans vs. Oregon Ducks trends on Week 12: Southern Cal is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games
