We won’t blame the Trojans for going through the motions tonight after their gut-wrenching triple-overtime effort against Stanford fell short. (And possibly a ridiculously half-point short depending on what time one placed their wager). Our 5* NCAA Game of the Month should have added to a terrific weekend package [4* Ohio State (W), 3* Georgia Tech (W), 3* Kansas State (L), 3* Steelers (W)] as the dogs were barking outright! Yes, we realize that the Trojans have been the best road team in college football over the past nine seasons (47-10 SU), but that won’t be enough to sway our opinion tonight in Boulder. Not with USC’s carefree 0-4 ATS mark as double-digit road favorites in weekday contests staring us in the face, or a pair of revengers with Washington and Oregon looking them straight in the eye. The problem in backing a Colorado team that has yet to take a bow this college football betting season – besides the short rest – is an uncompetitive 0-6 SU, ATS and ITS log since late September. Buffie, however, is 7-1 ATS in their last eight regular-season weekday games and that may be just enough to slay this three-plus touchdown line. We say take what you can get and, most importantly, apply the clothespin early and often. Free College Football Betting Pick: USC over Colorado by 17. Current betting line: Trojans listed as 21½-point favorites versus the Buffaloes, while the game's total is sitting at 56½. Southern Cal Trojans vs. Colorado Buffaloes trends to consider: The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Southern Cal's last 6 games on the road
