Seminoles vs. Mountaineers Betting OddsThe sixth oldest college bowl, held continuously since 1946,Seminoles and Mountaineers have a meeting this Friday January 1st when they battle at Municipal Stadium in the Gator Bowl.

Florida State couldn't spoil Tim Tebow's final game in Gainesville, losing 37-10 to Florida at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Week 13.

Florida covered as a 25.5-point home favorite in that contest, while the final score played UNDER the 56-point total.

Noel Devine rushed for one touchdown and West Virginia held on to beat Rutgers 24-21 in Week 14.

The Mountaineers covered the 1.5-point spread, while the final score played just UNDER the posted total of 43.5.

Bodog Sportsbook currently have the Mountaineers listed as 2½-point favorites versus the Seminoles, total is sitting at 60.

Martin Mayhew attended Tallahassee Florida High, but doesn't get the chance to visit too often as general manager of the Detroit Lions. Mayhew was a standout cornerback - and outstanding student - for the Seminoles from 1984-87, which put him at the forefront of FSU's dynasty years and later enjoyed an eight-year NFL career.

"I had the chance to spend a little time with Coach Bowden ... to just thank him for being an inspiration to me," said Mayhew. "I've been watching him from afar the past few years, but I have seen this program really take root during the time I was here and shortly thereafter, to become a great program. It's tough to see him go, but I just have tremendous respect for him and everything he's done from the school."
