TCU Horned Frogs vs. Utah Utes betting Odds and PicksThe college football betting match up of the week will feature a pair of undefeated top-five teams this Saturday in Utah, as the number-five Utes welcome the number-three Horned Frogs in a battle of undefeated teams from the Mountain West Conference. There will be a lot on the line in regards to both the conference and national rankings when these teams meet at Rick-Eccles Stadium.

TCU Horned Frogs @ Utah Utes
Saturday November 6, 2010 – 3:30 PM ET

Rick-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, Utah

Online Sports Betting
Odds: TCU – 4.5

This will be the first Mountain West match up in league history that has two top-10 teams going against one another, as the Utes look for revenge one year after the Horned Frogs destroyed them 55-28 in Fort Werth.

NCAA Football Betting Preview: TCU

It’s no secret how the Horned Frogs got their ninth overall scoring ranking, as TCU is also ranked ninth in the nation rushing the ball. Running backs Ed Wesley and Matthew Tucker have been solid all year, combing to average over five yards per carry with 16 touchdowns on the ground between them. Quarterback Andrew Dalton has provided the run game with the perfect complement moving the ball through the air, and despite not yet being at the 2,000 yard mark his 16 touchdowns are impressive in their own right. TCU’s number-one ranking in points allowed can’t be overlooked either. Although a big part of the Horned Frogs’ defensive standing is in part due to a lack of quality opponents they have faced, the fact that they haven’t allowed a team to reach double-digits since September 24th demands recognition.

NCAA Football Betting Preview: Utah

Having never registered less than 27 points this season, the Utes head in to this Saturday’s showdown looking to flex their offensive muscle after being shut down by the Horned Frogs last year. Both the pass and running games rank in the top-33 in the country, with quarterback Jordan Wynn moving the ball through the air while running backs Eddie Wide and Matt Asiasta split the carries. Utah has faced only one ranked opponent all year, with TCU being the last on its schedule, and while they have done everything to separate themselves from weaker competition along the way, this will be their ultimate test to determine the success of their season.

The Match Up: TCU @ Utah

Unlike last year’s match up and Fort Werth, this Saturday’s game will be played in front of a tough crowd at Rice-Eccles Stadium that should provide the hometown Utes with a sportsbook bonus boost. Utah will also have the sting of last year’s loss fresh in their memories, and with so much on the line in both the Mountain West and BCS, look for them to keep this battle of unbeaten’s much closer than last year’s game.

BSN Sports Pick: TCU – 4.5
