The current line to bet is Midshipmen listed as 2½-point favorites versus the Falcons, while the game's total is sitting at 56. With Army AWOL for the umpteenth season, it looks like the Commander- In-Chief trophy will be decided on the fi rst Saturday in October once again. This year the scene shifts back to Annapolis where the Midshipmen will look to build on their 4-0 SU and ATS series home record in hopes of reclaiming the coveted hardware. In fact, the Middies have covered the last eight between these two academies. However, despite the recent series dominance, last week’s ‘FOUR ON THE FLOOR’ reminds us to fade the eager hosts. We’ll also throw out a salute to our betting database as it notes the Force is 7-0 ATS versus non-conference foes off a SU loss and 10-2 ATS as road dogs off a non-conference game. Meanwhile, Navy is a distressing 2-11 ATS as home favorites versus an opponent off a SU win. While it wouldn’t surprise us to see the Middies reclaim what had been so rightfully theirs from 2003-2009, we say ‘eight is enough’ from an ATS standpoint as the Falcons soar to 17-3 ATS in road openers. Lean to the Flyboys. Trends to consider:
