A college football bettor must use many tools during the season to build up their bankroll. One of the best ways to do this is to become an expert of a small conference. Taking time to learn the MAC, Sun Belt or WAC will pay off a tremendous amount throughout the season. The reason behind this is quite simple. There are 120 Division I football teams in the country. This means that the odds makers in Vegas must put out over 50 point spreads each Sunday night for the following week. With this many lines to produce, a few are bound to be soft. Where are these soft lines usually found? You guessed it, in the above mentioned smaller conferences.
Injuries normally play much more of a role with these teams, since they tend not to be as deep as there brethren in major conferences. Travel often impacts these teams quite a bit, since most of their non-conference games will be played on the road. Many times these teams will find themselves in the inevitable spot of playing back to back road games on short weeks.
