Holy un-Toledo-like, we’re about to make this a favorite night… as well as a BEST BET, no less. And with good reason, we might add. With the Cyclones arriving off back-to-back, down-to-the-wire wins against in-state rivals – including last week’s triple-overtime ‘Over Extended’ roller-coaster victory over Iowa – our Our database also comes along for the ride as it points out Iowa State’s loopy 2-6 ATS record on the road in non-conference games off an overtime win and HC Paul Rhoads’ un-scholarly 0-3 ATS mark off a SU dog win. Sportsbooks currently have the Huskies listed as 5-point favorites versus the Cyclones, while the game's total is sitting at 44½. That doesn’t bode well against a Huskies’ bunch that was done in a by a late ‘pick six’ and fi eld goal in last Saturday’s 24-21 loss at Vandy. UConn is a rebounding 10-2 ATS at home off a SU and ATS loss while HC Paul Pasqualoni owns a 50-28-2 ATS mark at home in his career, including 6-2 ATS versus a foe off a SU dog win. As always, we’ll play the percentages and fade the Cyclones in this double-letdown (Northern Iowa, Iowa), look-ahead (Texas) affair as it’s the hosts – and not the visitors – that goes ‘Pauls to the wall’ tonight in Connecticut. A solid lay. Betting trends:
